Driving license and registration certificate all set to go online
Driving license and registration certificate for a vehicle can be bought online, without the need to visit RTO the ministry of road and transport highway has announced.
The government of India announced 18 new services that will be made available online with Aadhar based authentication. The services include a renewal of a driving license, a learner’s license, address change in driving license, certificate of registration, issue of an international driving permit, a surrender of the class of vehicle from the license, application for temporary registration of the motor vehicle, application for registration of a motor vehicle with a fully built body, application for issue of duplicate certificate of registration, application for grant of NOC for the certificate of registration, a notice of transfer of ownership of a motor vehicle, application for transfer of ownership of a motor vehicle, an intimation of change of address in the certificate of registration, application for registration for driver training from the accredited driver training center, application for registration of motor vehicle of diplomatic officer, application for assignment of fresh registration mark of a motor vehicle of diplomatic officer, endorsement of a hire-purchase agreement, and termination of hire-purchase agreement.
The Ministry on its Twitter account posted that the move will reduce the burden on citizens to help them to avail these services in a hassle-free manner. The decision will also reduce the footfall in RTO offices and will increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Everything being online will help all the citizens to avoid going to the RTO and also this will avoid additional costs which being fees to the agents, this is additional charges which people have to bear to get their work done without even going to the regional transport office.
A driving license to registration certificate, all set to go online and will be more convenient than the traditional way.
